Quote from the video 'The microwave doesn't seem to have an effect on my wi-fi traffic'.

If you're using a different channel (most are set to 11/12 by default) then your microwave shouldn't interfere. If your microwave is well shielded/filtered it shouldn't interfere. If you're using 5ghz wi-fi it definately shouldn't interfere.

If you have a shit microwave, on the same power ring, within a small radius, with the wi-fi on a similar band then it could interfere but even then it would probably be unoticeable(like in this video).

Cure's to a potential microwave problem:-
    1. Get a better microwave
    2. Move the router
    3. Change the router channel
    4. Use a surge protector on both the microwave and router to stabilise potential power spikes
    5. Get 5ghz wi-fi
    6. Use Ethernet

I think Matt's internet problem doesn't stem from his microwave, the fact that it is a regular occurance on a Sunday evening says more about his provider traffic then anything... Unless you have family round who bring their microwaves and have a microwave fest -_-
